Has not reached full potential

My first impression of these boots was that they were great. I loved the fact that they have laces for tightening depending on one's calf's width but also have a side zipper for putting on, off easily. I also loved that they felt like sneakers and were truly comfortable during walks around town. But there is these can do only so much. These are not warm enough in deep snow. I had dared to take them for sledding and my feet froze regardless of high physical activity and 28-degree temp, to the point that I had to cut the trip short. The soles obviously do not hold heat. On another occasion, on a warmer winter day with temperatures above freezing and no snow, these were very warm, but after hiking in mostly flat, dirt, rocky trails, they started giving me blisters. So, I'd say these are not for the deep snow, cold day activities and definitely not for long hikes in the woods. But if you want something comfortable and warm enough boots that look nice to walk around town, these boots are for you.
