Take some breaking in, but they got comfy eventually.

Now that these shoes are broken in, they feel pretty great, but they weren't comfortable for me out of the box. The sides are slightly higher than an average sneaker, and rubbed against my ankle until the fabric started to soften. Similarly, the heel is quite stiff and takes a while to break in before it stops rubbing.

A note about fit: The midfoot on these shoes is extremely wide, and there's no arch support in the insole. This works okay for my foot shape, though I'd like the midfoot to be a bit narrower; there's quite a gap between the fabric on the upper and the inside of my foot. These probably wouldn't work for someone with high arches or narrow feet.
