Reviewed by Kim from Washington on Tuesday, April 30, 2013I really like these! I ordered a large, and they are a bit too snug. I think I would've done better initially with a size up, but I imagine they will fit better as I get slimmer. They are a little too long, but all you need to do is unzip the leg a bit so that it can hang over the top of your shoe. Very comfortable.
Reviewed by ultrarunner from Massachusetts on Tuesday, March 26, 2013I really wanted to love these. I'm not sure the fabric miraculously makes me faster with a quicker recovery, but the compression is just right (not super tight), and these tights are nicely supportive with the perfect amount of stretch. The ankle zips are nice and long, and the weight is perfect. They are not quite as warm as a fleeced tight but definitely thicker than you standard regular weight tight. On the whole, I like them well enough and they'll get plenty of use.
The cons --
I personally don't love the look of the them. The fabric has a very noticeable checkered print that I think is somewhat silly looking and the saucony logo is way splashier than necessary. That said, I don't tend towards the showy in my running clothes and 90% of my runs are in the early dawn hours, in the woods, or both, so really who cares what I look like?
The second con is a bit more significant. While I found the fit of the legs was great, the rise is too short and there is no drawstring. For a shorter run I don't even notice. On a mid-distance run (~10 miles) it was a little annoying. On a longer run (2 1/2 hours) I just wanted to get the darn pants off and was pulling them up repeatedly, and chafed from the inner leg seams running, something I have never had from tights before. Such a small detail for Saucony to have added in that would have made such a big improvement in the tight, and for something being marketed for so technical a piece, it's somewhat inexcusable to not at least have a drawstring in the waist.
On the whole i *am* pretty happy with them though; contemplating sewing in my own waistband over theirs and then I'll have an awesome pair of rights.
Reviewed by Hiker from NY on Tuesday, March 12, 2013Title about says it all. I returned this item, and did not size down for an exchange because I specifically wanted the compression effect to fight fatigue on hikes. This fabric and the oddly larger than sized fit offered zero compression at all,
At a closeout price, this would be a good buy for someone who wants a quality pair of comfortable, breathable running or jogging pants without compression. That's what the two stars are for.
Just don't expect any compression from them.
Reviewed by Cachet Cowgirl from Missouri on Friday, March 8, 2013These are very comfortable and look great when I run or work out at the gym.
Reviewed by lilyogini from oceanside, ca on Monday, February 25, 2013I just received these today in the mail from Sierra and I am seriously impressed. They are not SUPER compressive but then again, I don't know that I want them to be any tighter if I plan to run in them.||The length is a bit long for me - but I'm only 5'0". So I think they are probably good for most. They have zippers on the bottom so at least I can unzip a bit to hang over my shoes.||I got an XS,
