This pair of Saucony trail runners represents an unbelievable value at their price point. They give up nothing in features, are lightweight, comfortable, and offer great support and cushioning. I generally buy nothing but Salomon trail runners but these are a major score. I remembered from the pa... Read More

  • “Are these high arch and stability shoes?”
Asked by Rachel from Maryland on 6/2/2017 8:08:16 AM
    • I would say the arch is not high - I have relatively flat feet and they work well for that.

As for stability, they feel very sure-footed on various surfaces.

    • I have a high arch and these shoes work well for me. I'm on my second pair. My running is mostly on terrain and only occasionally on pavement, but these have pretty good cushioning. I have a pretty neutral gait, so I can't speak for the stability aspect. Overall these are a very nice and comfortable shoe.
Answered on 6/2/2017 11:44:58 AM by Kelly Squirrel from North Florida
    • They are not. I use an over the counter arch support. And they are medium stability. They are however very comfortable. But I will say, after about 10 hours, my feet feel the bottom.

    • They don't have great support for high arches. I think they provide good stability. One thing I'm bummed about- the fabric on the top edge (around the ankle) started fraying after a week on one shoe and started on the other shoe soon after. :(

  • “I usually wear an 8.5, but I've noticed that it seems to vary with shoe brand; also, I've worn Saucony for over 30 years; but have noticed by comments that the toe boxes are no longer consistently wide (which is why I bought them in the first place!). A European 40 seems to be consistent with my fit, so I was wondering which US size of this shoe is a Euro 40? Is the toe-box on this shoe consistent with the usual wide toe box Saucony is famous for?
    Thanks!”
Asked by Ann from colorado on 2/26/2017 9:36:50 AM
    • This is the "not wide" version. I tried going up 1/2 size and it didn't work, too long. I now am back to the "regular" size I buy for Saucony - Walked in them yesterday and they were fine, though wish they had the wider toe box and narrower heel..

    • I have no idea
Answered on 2/26/2017 12:11:39 PM by Marlene from Wyoming
    • This shoe runs smaller than the normal Saucony and the toe box is not nearly as wide as my Saucony hurricanes. I think that you will need to order at least a size nine if you wear normally an 8.5.
I sent mine back-did not like the fit or feel of these.

    • Actually I was very surprised mine fits perfect
Answered on 2/26/2017 5:04:56 PM by Linda from FL
    • Can't speak to the European 40, but I found I wear an 9 in this, and normally wear an 8.5 in Saucony. Toe box seems comfortably wide as usual though.

  • “I take an eight shoe but have a wide foot Any suggestions re size ”
Asked by Britchick from Utah on 2/19/2017 7:13:17 AM
    • Runs very small. I ordered my normal size and it was at least one half to one size smaller for me.
Answered on 2/19/2017 7:27:32 AM by Shelver from Westlake, Oh
    • I found I needed to go up a 1/2 size from my usual. The toe box is not what I would call roomy, but it fits well for me. I have a wide foot at the ball, with a narrow heel.
Answered on 2/19/2017 7:42:32 AM by SunnySD from Kansas
    • Definitely order up a size these shoes run small and snug fitted
Answered on 2/19/2017 8:42:21 AM by Alwayssunni from North Carolina
    • These are not any wider than a normal "B" width in the toe box, and in my experience a bit narrower than many brands in the heel. If STP has them in a "W" width, I would try that. I don't think going up a size will help with width (as opposed to length).

    • I am a size 9 and find these run true to size. I am a medium width. Comfortable shoe for me.

    • I have wide feet and have trouble finding shoes especially since one foot is even wider than the other due to surgery. I also wear orthotics. I ordered half size up and they fit perfect for hiking and the short distances that I run.

    • We only have this item available in medium width. According to our fit team this item is running true to size.

    • Sorry can't speak to width... only length. If these are for running the general rule is to purchase a 1/2 size bigger than you normally wear, but that again is for length of the shoe... good luck on width, no clue.

  • “How wide is the toe box on these”
Asked by Friesian Fanatic from Ct on 2/4/2017 10:15:39 PM
    • For the size 8 shoes I have, the toe beginning of the box at the ball of the foot (where the shoe begins to taper) is about 4 inches across, It is about 2 1/4 inches in length from the ball of the foot to the front of the shoe, and the toe box tapers to about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches at the tip of the toe. Hope this helps.

  • “does this shoe run true to size? i'm returning a pair of keens that i purchased in a 7.5, which is my usual size, but they're too large. now i don't know what size to get!”
Asked by rraine from nevada on 1/28/2017 9:21:30 AM
    • These run true to size. I wear a 7.5 and that's what I ordered here, and they fit just right.
Answered on 1/28/2017 9:37:19 AM by Onerose03 from Illinois
    • Dony know if this helps : Normally wear a 9 but ordered a 9.5 since i need more room for toes when hiking. They fit perfect, however i have had foot surgey on right foot and it is wider and a different shape than the other which makes it hard to find a good fit. Well these do I wish i could stock up because I have had keens that i gave away (size 9) because they hurt my toes when hiking. I feel they might have done great at size 9 also, but did not want to run into the same problem of my toes hurting on long hikes. Btw I wear orthodics in them. I think if you have a thinner shape foot then they might feel to big, for my tricky feet they are perfect.

    • Yes they run true to size. I bought a 6.5 and they fit perfectly even with socks they are comfortable.

    • I'm a 7.5 in street/dress shoes, and I almost always wear a size 8 in running shoes. I ordered an 8 in these shoes and they fit perfectly with athletic socks. I have a narrow foot, and one foot longer than the other, and they feel great on both feet. Hope this helps! These are really comfortable shoes.
