The writer claims s/he hiked over 1000 miles in these shoes. I bought 7 or 8 different pairs to try on for my 40 mile hike. These were by far the MOST comfortable shoes I tried on. We'll see how they hold up to the rigors of the Timberline Trail on Mt Hood but so far I'm very impressed.
