About Saucony Ride 9 Running Shoes (For Women)

Closeouts. Saucony's Ride 9 running shoes are an excellent high-mileage trainer for neutral runners. This shoe upgrades its predecessor with EVERRUN shock absorption in the heel to take pressure off the forefoot, and it offers traditional niceties like the SRC Crash Pad for a smooth heel-to-toe transition and a durable, grippy iBR+ outsole for lightweight traction.

Not a runner, but........

I hesitated to review this product because I just wanted some narrow athletic shoes to wear to the gym every day. These feel wonderful, and I'll buy running shoes from now on. The toe box is roomy and the support in the heel makes them extremely comfortable to wear. They are lightweight and cushi... Read More

  • Overall great shoe!

This is my 3rd pair of Saucony Ride 9 shoes in the same size. I ordered them online figuring they will fit like my last 2. They are sliding a little in my heel, so not sure what has changed from the Ride 8. But, despite that I definitely feel a boost in my running with these, I'll just have to get over the heel slip, wishing I would have gone 1/2 size smaller.

Great shoes, super comfy and much cheaper then the big box store I almost bought them from.
  • Runs small

I wear a 9.5 in Asics and Mizuno but these have a smaller toe box and I needed a 10. I sent back and exchanged. Best thing about these is good forefoot cushioning and low toe-heel rise, perfect for trying to run faster avoiding the heel strike. Because of the low rise they are also great for cross training like HIIT and P90X.
  • Good shoes for road running

These are lovely shoes for road running but buyer beware, they run small! I am always a size 8 but I needed a size 8.5 in these.

  • “I normally wear size 7.5 or 8. What size do you recommend me getting? I work over 12hr shifts where I'm on my feet and moving the whole time.”

    • According to our fit team this item is running true to size.

    • Depends on if you are going to use them for running. I normally wear a 5.5 and I got a 6.5, what I usually do for running. I size up a size just for extra room in the toe box. These seemed almost a little too big compared to my past Saucony's and I almost returned them for a 6, but they actually seem to be good now, I just hate to use the top lace holes. I think you are safe to go with an 8 for your 12 hour shifts.

    • I was always skeptical of ordering shoes online but absolutely love these. This is my 3rd pair and I am a size 9 and I wear them with lightweight socks when I run or walk. Really comfortable, really didn't need any breaking in, as I wore them running 3 miles the first time I got them. Great color choices, wear well, and great price. Hope that helps:-)

  • “Does this shoe run true to size?”
Asked by E K from New York on 6/5/2017 1:19:09 PM
    • Yes! My wife has had these for 2 months. First Saucony shoes for her 9 1/2.. happy w them. Usually had ascics.

    • My size nines do,and I've worn them several times to the gym --- I am not a runner. My left foot is longer than my right, and I need the larger size to accommodate a bunion on that foot. The heel fits snugly, and there is plenty of room in the toe box.

    • Depends on how you like your running shoes. I need some toe room in my running shoes, so I go half a size larger than my typical street shoe. So I go 8.5 when I would wear an 8 in most other shoes. I have wide feet, and the new ride is narrower than the old ride. I bought 8.5W in an earlier model, and the 8.5w in the ride 9 is narrower, but possibly a little longer. I would say for most running shoes 8.5 is the right length of me, so in the respect that it is similar to the same size in other brands, re: length, yes, true to size.
