Terrific lacing system for anyone challenged by traditional shoelaces.
A stroke has rendered me unable to tie my own shoes so I must rely on my spouse or a nearby friend to tie my shoelaces. The BOA system grants me independence and I also no longer have untied laces to accidentally trip me up.Hop... Read More

Really like BOA lacing system, very comfortable, I sometimes walk up to 7 miles a day while working, no break in required. Highly recommend!

I'm returning these boots. They were very very stiff walking around the house and going up and down stairs. I think it would be bad on the trail.

I was excited to grab these a fantastic discount as I have another pair of Scarpa's in the same size ordered. I had read a review on the non-BOA style wherein someone complained about tongue issues but didn't see complaints on this style. After putting them on with my hiking socks and figuring out how to tighten the cord, I immediately felt pain at the front of my foot in front of the tongue. I had never felt that before. The slicing sensation didn't improve upon loosening the cord. I sent these immediately back.

I wear full orthotics that raise my foot up quite a bit in my shoes. So when I tighten the laces on these so they're snug around my foot, I am never able to get them tight enough around my ankles. There is a huge amount of room around my ankles which is a problem when I'm running on rocky trails. The lacing system tightens evenly around all parts of your foot, which might be fine for some people, but not for me. Not a bad shoe otherwise. I do like the convenience of pulling the knobs out and instantly loosening the laces so my feet can slide out easily. Lots of room in the toe box.

I was skeptical buying these dial in lacing BOA system shoes at first. I bought them anyway, because they looked different than the usual shoes and the price wasn't too bad to take a chance with them. (They were different brand than Scarpa Corsa) I haven't had any problem whatsoever; in fact, these are the most comfortable shoes I wore them so much I'm bought another pair. They run half/whole size smaller. I hope STP exchange them for the price I bought by the time I return them for right size. One thing is, I wish there are different colors and styles.
