A dualsport boot!

I was on a quest to find a boot that met my alpine needs as well as touring needs. On alpine I use a Duke binding and touring a Kingpin. This boot drives my Hell and Back 177 easily. I did some side by side tests with my Solomon race boots (100 flex) and the Freedom's do seem to be stiffer. The true alpine boot has a smoother flex though. Also the Freedom's have a high cuff which adds to the beef/control the boot offers. Only skied them twice but so far am pleased. Also the cuff articulates really well - should be nice for touring! AND the ability to put a din sole on is what I was looking for. This boot is definitely not a race boot and definitely not a light touring boot. But it can do both fairly well. A dualsport!
