Sizing is small, shoe is stiff

I tried on the new Scarpa Origin in 38.5 for reference in sizing, however, this Scarpa Helix shoe fits SIGNIFICANTLY smaller. I purchased a 38.5 and I'll keep it, but it's definitely the wrong size. The arch of the foot is too far back and my toes are more than just normal climbing shoes cramped. I should have purchased a 39. I've worn these shoes for long 2-3 hour climbing sessions about 4 times now, and I intend to keep them, but so far they haven't stretched too much. The shoes also feels fairly stiff, my previous shoe was a Red Chili slipper, and that had a little more pliability to it. I'm not overly picky, I'm an intermediate climber and I don't intend to climb outside. Just wish I had sized up.
