I had previously tried the Asolo horizon but the tongue gusset was a bit lumpy at the seam and bothered my ankle. These did not. I have not had them out in the woods yet, only around work, but I think they will do just fine. I will likely wear them around work for a few more days to make sure they are good and broken in first. The lacing is a little odd on them, they have eyelets over the arch of your foot, then hooks that lock the laces at the base of the ankle. This is great for lacing up as it holds tension, but they seem to loosen over time (I had thought that you could essentially tie the ankle tighter than your foot or vv, but no such luck). Regardless, its a different feature and one that is helpful for lacing up.
