As advertised. I've only had these kicks for about a month. The Vibram soles are a plus and the suede looks nice. The style embraces the look of modern rock climbing shoes. I'm hoping to use these for a combination approach shoe for climbing as well as a dayhiking/light backpacking. So far they have held up well on short approaches (2-4 miles) and a few leisurely walks in the backcountry. They are lightweight and seem to be well constructed; however, I'm a little concerned about how well they will do on talus and longer ventures, as there doesn't appear to be much of a solid shank or torsional support that you tend to get with full-on hiking boots. That said, this shoe appears to be an almost perfect happy medium between a light trail runner and a beefy boot.
