Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by xray hiker from Prescott az on Saturday, January 23, 2016Comfortable right out of the box. Run true to size. Hiked through very muddy snow and kept my feet warm and dry. Good traction. Would definitely buy again.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ginger P from Seattle, WA on Tuesday, December 8, 2015Waterproof, and surprisingly good ankle support for a mid-height boot. Haven't had a chance to take them on the trails yet but excellent comfort straight out of the box for a few 2ish mile walks around town. Size 40 fit my 8.5s perfectly, though I often take a 39 in other brands.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by MT from Montana/Mass on Wednesday, November 11, 2015These boots feel good, just got them. They have a bit more width which I prefer for hiking.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Barefootd from Northern CA on Tuesday, September 15, 2015After loving the Lowa Bora, I hesitated ordering a different brand. But I have read that these are great for narrow feet and they certainly are. The boot collar was a little stiff at first....but after about 3 miles it settled. These do need a better insole, unlike the Bora. These boots have NO quick laces at the top....eyelets all the way up. They are comfortable and I'd order them again. I wear a 10-11N in womens. I got these in the 42.5 which is approx. a 10.5 wornens and they fit great.
Reviewed by e.smith from Washington on Wednesday, August 19, 2015About 10 days before my hike to Camp Muir (Mt. Rainier), I realized I should probably have hiking boots (nothing like last minute prep, right?). So I bought these boots based on the reviews that stated no break-in period. Best decision I've ever made. I tested them out on a steep 6 mile hike the weekend prior to my Rainier trip just to make sure they weren't going to cause me pain. I had no idea hiking boots could be so comfortable! But then again, this is my first pair in 20 years.
I am consistently a size 9, but wear a 9.5 in running shoes for toe-box room and comfort during activity. I chose to purchase a 41 for the same reasons, and also to accommodate a heavier trail sock. They fit the bill, but I think I could have done a 40.5 with no discomfort. I tripped a little more than I normally do.
They kept out all dust and debris on my first hike that was essentially walking up a silty, pebbly trail. They also kept my feet 100% dry through the slushy snowfields of Rainier- even on the way down when we glissaded (and got wet everywhere else).
I could not be happier with this purchase- especially for the price! Highly recommend.
