Most Helpful 3-Star Review
Reviewed by Allie B from San Diego on Monday, August 22, 2016These boots are very comfortable but they do not have the correct bindings for alpine skiis. I found this out after I took a bad fall and did not clip out of my skiis resulting in a torn ACL and meniscus. Scarpa is great but I would not purchase this specific boot.
Reviewed by Emily from Seattle on Monday, November 30, 2015I bought a size 25 (translates to size 8 womens) and couldn't even get the boot on my feet! I'm a size 7.5 normally so I was very surprised.

These are alpine ski boots.
the specs say that it is compatible with alpine bindings, however the product photo/video does not show the front toe welts that would be necessary for this to be possible. they appear to alpine touring boots, however missing a critical part. Alpine touring boots are designed to be used with compatible alpine touring DIN-releasable AT bindings only. AT soles do not fit most downhill bindings and/or could interfere with release mechanisms. they seem to be incompatible with any binding system and should not be used unless STP can offer clarification on the missing toe welts. DO NOT BUY.
As mentioned above DO NOT BUY...I bought these last year and like mentioned they do not have the correct binding for release mechanism. I took a bad fall, did not clip out of my skis and ended up tearing my meniscus and ACL. May be good for touring but not downhill skiing, I don't know why they are listed as alpine ski boots or even similar to.
“Looking at Scarpa Vanity AT and Velvet Cordura AT Ski Boots. Need to know if they will fit standard alpine bindings. Looking for comfortable walking boot for my wife and these are otherwise a match”
No. Using alpine touring boots with regular alpine bindings is dangerous. Although they MAY fit into the binding, the release features of regular alpine bindings will not work properly, as another purchaser found out. These are AT (alpine TOURING) boots and go with AT bindings.
