About Scientific Anglers Mastery Streamer Express Taper Fly Line - Sinking Tip, Freshwater/Saltwater, 100’

Closeouts. For serious subsurface angling, the Scientific Anglers Mastery Streamer Express Taper fly line with a 30' sinking tip makes it easier to drop big flies right in front of hungry fish. Attached to a clear line, flies won't spook unsuspecting swimmers.

Have not fished it yet. Streamer express is a versatile line though. Very fair price.

Wanted the sinking tip but was sent a WF floating line. Did not discover this until after I was on my trip. Still fished but wished I had received the correct line.

Smooth, fast and casts perfectly. I have it matched with a Redington Vapen Red 8 wt, which seems to be a perfect fit. Working line also seems relatively tangle free.

This was a great price for this high quality product from Scientific Anglers. I use their textured floating fly lines on my other fly rigs. So far I've only put the loops on both ends of this line and tied the line to the backing, winding the line onto my reel. I look forward to spring when I can use this line in my kayak, trolling flies. In trolling a fly on one side and a spinning rod with a spoon lure on the other I found that my fly was going too shallow. Whenever I would slow down due to s snag with the lure or even a strike on it, I found that's when I would get strikes on the fly. I realized that the fly was traveling too close to the surface even when I put split shot on the tippet ahead of the fly. This slow sinking line (rated at 1 cm/sec) should solve that problem. The clear sinking tip should not spook the fish. I tie on a 8 foot long 6 lb test fluorocarbon monofilament section as the tippet. I troll mainly woolly [...] and bucktail streamer patterns for trout in several local (Berkshire County, MA) lakes.
