“Need a quality floating l line for a TFO Clouser series 8 wt with a fast action. It's rigged right now with fast sinking line for river stripers. Looking for a floating option for topwater bass / striper fishing. Read in a few places that it's often good to go lighter, so the fact that it's only available in a 7 doesn't bother me. But I'm curious what makes this a "nymph/indicator" line vs. just a good quality floating line period? Only thing I can think of is the brightly colored tip specifically targeting nymph fishing for the visual? If that's it, sounds like it'd be fine as a general floating line, but wanted to make sure there wasn't something else I'm missing. Thanks. ”
You are correct is is basically a standard floating line. The bright orange tip is used as an indicator vs using a strike indicator. I use it on a 7/8 wt steelhead rod and works fantastic. I believe it may have a slightly heavier head also to help propel small nymphs. To me it doesn't cast any different than a standard floating line. Very good product through. I am very pleased and would recommend it to others.
