This shoe is so comfortable and the leather quality is very good. I have the normal docksides and this leather is much better than the normal one.
nice productVerified Buyer Reviewed by Diana from Kentucky on Tuesday, July 3, 2018These are very nice looking shoes that my son loved but they run a size large so I had to send them back.
Great ShoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by SoCalGuy from California on Sunday, June 24, 2018Well constructed shoe - nice looking too. Reading another review which stated they were sized large, I bought a 9 1/2 instead of my normal 10 - good fit. Comfortable, requiring no break-in period. I bought the dark taupe.

Still the same great qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tom up north from Northern MI on Monday, May 7, 2018I have owned Sebagos for more than 40 years. Great quality and comfort always.
These are no exception- well made and very comfortable. Love the padded insole.
Do not require breaking in. I expect many years of use.
Boat ShoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by John from CT on Wednesday, April 18, 2018Excellent quality, very comfortable. They run large, I'd recommend a half size down.
Very comfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Stephen from Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 31, 2018Very nice well built and comfortable shoes. Insole feels like a gel insole and is very comfortable.
Old school quality !Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dave a Classic Boater from SML Virginia on Monday, March 26, 2018I have been unable to find a boat shoe that compares to the old docksides that I had 1970's and 1980's. These shoes are made to last, Quality leather, welt construction, lamb skin lined and true to size. I would get over 10 years out of boat shoes
in earlier years and have a friend that still has two pair of docksides over 30 years old that look better than my recent attempts to get a good boat shoe. I purchased a pair of these crest docksides last year, worn them almost daily and they hold their shape. Bar nun, these are the best shoes I have purchased in the last 40 + years. If you want comfort, quality, and durabilty you can't go wrong with the Sebago Crest Docksides. ps. I managed a shoe store in the early 1970's that sold
Florsheim shoes and I know quality.
well made shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by upstate rider from South Carolina on Thursday, March 8, 2018The shoe is a good fit and quality construction. would buy again

“These seem to have about 2/3 of a Sebago insole.(no insole in the front 1/3 by toes) is this normal? ”
Yes this is the normal design of the shoe. The leather portion starting at the heel does not extend all the way to the toe area.
It is for this shoe. Sperry Docksiders are the same. It does not affect the wearablility. These are very comfortable shoes.
Same is true of my pair, but it has not impact on the comfort or wearability of the shoe.
My old ones (from four years ago, bought at a retail store) had the same 2/3 insole.
I don't notice any problem with the shoe. I've worn them with socks and without socks and found them to be very comfortable.
