Not too big, but can still slip my Nexus 9 tablet in there. Wider at the bottom (even though it doesn't look it) and with the many pockets things aren't crowded and lost. Love that there are 2 outside slip pockets (only thought there was one initially) and they magnet close! It's a good hold too, which is awesome. My HTC One M9 phone fits (in a bulky case) in the phone slip pocket outside. I've been searching for the perfect everyday bag for a while and this holds all I need and then some. Getting rid of many others I have now.
