Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Love to walk from Chicago area on Monday, April 27, 2015I love this bag. I use it for school so I can carry both my laptop & my books. The only limit I've found to how much it can hold, is how much I can reasonably carry.
Reviewed by Phil from Denver on Friday, March 14, 2014There are lots of good things about this bag, but in the end I decided the smaller 25l version was the one to keep.
Both bags are identical otherwise. The 35l can really hold a large 17" laptop while the 25 fits more of a 15" size.
My main complaint with both bags is the main shoulder strap. It's perfectly sized for a bike messenger but it is much too short to wear over one should like a shoulder bag to be able to have the bag sit lower when you need to get inside without the flap coming up in your face and the main qr buckle riding directly on my collar bone.
I kept the 25l and cut off the pad section of strap and replaced it with a longer piece of dive webbing and secured it with one locking triglide and one weight belt buckle for quick adjusts similar to a timbuk2 bag. Instantly this transformed the bag to be exactly what I wanted.
Otherwise, I like the red computer pocket on this model better than the all black on the 25. Pocket organization is minimal but satisfactory. Wish the outside pocket had a bit of bellowing built in but this keeps the bag not looking sloppy. The flap straps are semi worthless for adding compression, but I am cutting mine off and sewing onto the cross strap webbing loops which will provide tension. Love the lightweight fabric, air flow back panel (does help!), and the very waterproof seeming flap.
Depending on what you want and are willing to modify this bag may or may not work for you, but I like my 25l version just fine.
For all intents and purposes, the 35l is the same bag, just too big for what I wanted. (An everyday bag that can fit minimal camera gear and is suitable for a daypack for intl travel/sightseeing without being obvious what's inside)
