5.0 out of 5 stars. Great quality and priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Fly-fisher Jim from Ohio on Monday, September 11, 2017Like other reviews, the zippers under the arm are a noticable feel but not enough for me to send back. Other than that, the jacket is excellent value at $130. I tested in rain and compared to my previous jacket it was much better in both waterproofing and breathing. Great Simm's quality and can't wait to try fishing in the rain with it.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Fayetteville, AR on Sunday, August 20, 2017I ordered a XXL , but it runs a little small and is really more of an XL. Very basic goretex without all the thrills of the Marmot Cerro or Patagonia. Excellent purchase at 129.00, wouldnt purchase at full retail though.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Preliminary assessmentVerified Buyer Reviewed by pagster from socal on Tuesday, July 25, 2017Not quite as light as I expected. I agree with reviewer STP Junkie that the pit zips are bulky and slightly uncomfortable in the area surrounding the armpit since they go completely up the side and continue to the upper arm. There seems to be a reason I've not found photos of it with the hood stowed--it just does not stow very elegantly and does not fit tightly under the collar. I thought it might be just my shortcoming but I called Simms and they basically said that's just how it is. I've not yet tested waterproofing or breath-ability. Seems to be well made of quality materials.

4.0 out of 5 stars. underarm fit is snugVerified Buyer Reviewed by Northeaster from New York on Sunday, July 9, 2017Fit: I am 5'10" 167 lbs, flat stomach and normally wear size M. I had to exchange for S since M was a bit tent-like and sleeves very long. When I put on the S, it did not go on like a glove... strange fit under the arms. The pit zips are a very stiff sealed waterproof type (high quality) but that long stiff zipper is kind of like have a cable under your arm... it pushes up into the armpit depending on how I move and it's not a comfortable feeling. It seems like the cut of the sleeve is too narrow combined with the stiff zipper makes it feel strange. Otherwise, the jacket is super quality, great build and materials. I'm still considering whether I will keep the S.
