I've always wanted Simms waders so I finally bought a pair of these. I went by the Simms sizing guide and chose the XL because I wear a size 12 shoe. When I got them the foot felt right, but they were extremely baggy on me. Not very comfortable. I ended up selling the XL to my father-in-law because ... Read More

Wore them the other day and had no issues. The fit was right on and they were very comfortable. Standard Simms quality and no complaints.

Simms never is a let down in any of their products! They always come through with the highest quality gear.
these waders are perfect fitting size wise. the booties are a tad tight with bulkier socks on however. They allow full range of motion with outerwear on as well. The internal pocket is very nice with a fly patch. All in all for the price and the name brand it was a great product!
    Simms is the best!

I have purchased these waders 6 months ago, and I must say I am very pleased with them.

I haven’t had a single problem with these waders. I have used them a lot (I go fishing at least once a week). I am so happy with them that I use them more than Simms G3 waders that I have since they are lighter. I now use my G3 waders for very cold weather and I use these waders for the rest of my fishing.

  • “What are the hight, inseam and chest of the xxl?
Asked by Anglerman from tennessee on 12/1/2014 11:00:07 AM
    • The height is 59" from floor to top of the waders, not including the straps. Inseam is 35"-36", chest is 52"-53", hope that helps.

    • I purchased the large size, because i wanted to make sure that there was enough room to have layers during cold weather fishing. I'm 5' 10" and the chest area is still too big. I have plenty of room even when kneeling down, so not to rip the seems of the waders. I could have purchased the Medium King size with 10 boot size.

  • “What is the measurement of the wader at the calves section?”
Asked by Sue from California on 11/28/2014 4:47:20 PM
    • I'm not positive, but there is plenty of room. inside, maybe 10-12 inches around? I'm 5'10" and 165. i bought the large size, because of the boot size was what I needed. There is more then enough room, for me to wear a couple of layers, and still, able to squat down, without any stretching issues. I hope that this helps.
Answered on 11/29/2014 12:24:55 AM by fisherman13 from California
    • The measurement of the calves section is generous, a little lower than that of the upper leg section. The fit of this product is very easy to allow good movement during the fishing action.
Answered on 11/29/2014 3:06:11 AM by Antonio from Italy
    • They don't report calf size, but theyre always very roomy. For example I measured a pair of Large and theyare23 inches mid calf
Answered on 11/29/2014 10:12:03 AM by Snug in the cold from Oregon
    • Sue, it would depend on the size of the waders, But the pair I've got are 2 XXL and my calves measure 19" and the leg section at the calve is not restrictive. So I would think it to be at lease 19"- 19 1/4". Hope this help you some.

yes, it's a really high quality breathable. In my opinion a very good price - quality ratio.

    • Yes. Very lightweight and great for warmer weather wading. Haven't fished these yet in cooler temps, but would probably need to layer up to stay comfortable.
Answered on 8/11/2014 5:40:03 AM by Wading Shoe from The Catskills
    • "Breathable" means the fabric allows moisture to escape. Neoprene or rubber waders do not. In theory, breathable waders can be worn year-round. In practice, serious cold weather anglers usually opt for neoprene, which acts as an additional layer of insulation.

That does not mean you won't get sweaty in these Simms waders. That depends on what you wear under them. Jeans, for instance, on a hot day, plus the waders are going to produce sweat.

And if your legs are sweaty, or your pants are damp when you take the waders off, you might conclude the waders are leaking when they are not.

      Hope that helps.

    • I bought the William Joseph W20 wader boots (they sell them on here). I generally wear a size 12 boot but bought these in a size 13. I could have probably gotten away with a size 12 boot but when you add in the thickness of wool socks and the neoprene stocking foots, they fit just about perfectly. I just got back from a 4 day fishing trip and wore these waders and those W20 boots. They performed great!

    • I would buy a wading boot at least 1 size bigger than the shoe size you wear. Wading shoes are built to accommodate the extra space needed by the booty but i find that it is more comfortable to wear 1 size larger, ESPECIALLY if you plan on cold weather fishing with these on. This will allow you to wear heavy wool socks without being too tight. Any wading shoe that fits your budget will work.

    • Any fishing boot will work but you more than likely need to go one size larger than your normal shoe size. I personally use the Simms Headwater. Good boot at a relatively low price.

    • The inseam for XL is 35"-36"
Answered on 5/1/2014 4:30:19 PM by Product Specialist Greg from Sierra Trading Post
    • The inseam is 32" to top of the gravel guard and 39" to the sock bottom. I wear 30" inseam jeans and these fit me fine with some length to spare. For more information try the Simms website.

    • The waders are 33"-34" for the inseam. My personal inseam is 30"-31" and they fit perfect. Giving me plenty of room to squat down or maneuver over objects without stressing the material.
