  • Monster bag!

You can pack a weeks worth of goods into this giant waterproof bag. like the zipper on top that tucks into the roll over seal. Lots of ways to carry and pick up with all the straps/handles.

Simms quality. Too big to use for anything heavy. I returned this bag. I cannot see using this for fishing.
  • Good, but not as good as the old ones

This is a massive bag. The good, it fits a fly rod tube, it's expedition waterproof, and it's only a couple of pounds. The bad is carrying the thing with 50 lbs of gear. It's huge, and if you fill it up, you'll be over the 50 lbs limit for airline travel. Get a good scale. Simms use to make this bag with small backpacking pads built into the side straps and you could easily carry it on your back. Now, you'll want to hire Sherpas to do the moving for you. It's cumbersome at this size with the straps to move it. They've also added a pad into the bottom of the bag to reduce stress on the bag from the interior. Today there are duffels with two wheels that don't weight that much more that offer some weather protection. If you're going down the Amazon or a rafting trip, then this might be the bag for you if you need something 32 inches long.

I sent this back as it was massive. It would be great for rafting or expeditions but to big for my uses . Simms makes great stuff!
