Skechers GOrun Ride 5

I've been running exclusively Mizuno for the longest time and last year and a half, I began to transitioning my gait from heel strike to forefoot/midfoot strike. The end result of that was to say goodbye to those trusty Mizunos and embarked on Hoka One One and Altra. The transitioning was not easy and alternating between Hoka's 4-5mm (soft) drops and Altras 0mm (hard) were at times difficult. After reading a few reviews about Skechers Performance shoes, I've decided to give GOrun Ride 5 a chance. Considering the pricing, I figured, if it didn't workout, I will use them as my daily walking shoes. I have to say that after my initial run, all my concerns about the quality, the ride and responsiveness were all out of the window. Ride 5 is light and responsive. The M strike (promote mid-foot strike) felt a bit weird at the beginning, but after a few miles, I can see why Skechers put it there. It's been my go to shoes for the last few weeks. I didn't see too much wear on the outsole and it is a nice edition to my rotation. 20 miles in, I am contemplating of getting another one! Great shoes, great price and I am glade I gave Skechers a try.
