These are much better than the picture shows. The picture makes it look like the calfs are really wide, and in reality they are a straight line up. It also makes the foot area look whitish, or easily stretched out, which it's not. These are awesome socks for cold weather. Not just skiing, b... Read More

I knew they were 2nds when I purchased them. They are really picked and have a small hole in the toe. I hope to get one wear out of them. My opinion is they should not have been sold as even 2nds.

Pros:Perfect fit, no bunching under my toes when I wear boots and shoes.
    Super soft, non itchy wool.
Very comfortable to wear for extended period.
    No pilling.
Keeps my feet warm, but not too warm.
    Just right weight.
    No sagging or slippage anywhere.
    Tops stay in place.
    Very attractive.
Machine washs well in cold water, gentle cycle. No shrinkage.
Great value when on sale, very good value at regular price.
Cons(?):The fit is very tight on my feet and the entire length of my leg. They fit like support socks. It takes a little extra time to
put the socks on, and to take them off. This is precisely why the fit is pefect. The socks do not interfere with my blood
circulation, but they might for people with poor circulation.

They are 2nds, but the fit is great and I can't find any imperfections.

This socks are too thin for ski boots.

  • “Are these socks marked "irregular" on the sock itself?”
Asked by Cindy from Melbourne on 2/1/2015 11:57:36 AM
    • Yes they are marked that way, but the mark comes off in the wash

    • Yes
Answered on 2/1/2015 6:36:44 PM by lisamamot from West of Boston, MA
    • Yes, it is marked on the lower part of the sock that would normally fit inside your shoe. The ink is white and can be scraped off with an old toothbrush if you don't want it there.

  • “Are these socks marked "irregular" on the sock itself?”
Asked by Cindy from Melbourne on 1/29/2015 9:14:33 AM
    • No, there is nothing to indicate that they are irregular. There is nothing in the fit that seems irregular either. Great socks for the price!

    • Yes they do have that printed on them.

  • “what is the sizing on these socks? I don't see anything listed.
Asked by Maine skiier from bethel, me on 2/18/2014 9:58:03 AM
    • I think the part that makes them 'irregular' is that the foot part runs small. I would recommend going up a size (maybe two if you don't like your socks tight). Hope that helps.

    • If you click on the size box, S, M, or L, it opens up information on sizing.
