About SmartWool Larkslope Sweater - Merino Wool, Zip Neck (For Women)
Closeouts. We love it when sweaters keep us toasty warm and flatter our figure as they do it, just like SmartWool's Larkslope sweater! The former feat is accomplished through itch-free, body-temperature-regulating merino wool; the latter, through a combination of multi-directional center panel ribbing and solid, slimming rib-knit sides.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by G from California on Monday, November 21, 2016This sweater is awesome. I'm usually a 2, and the XS fits perfectly. I love the pattern on this sweater - gives it a little pizazz. The wool is super soft, not scratchy at all. I wear a baselayer underneath, and this sweater keeps me toasty warm. The collar is really convenient to zip all the way up when the wind blows. Smartwool always makes a great product, and I'm glad I treated myself to this one.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ruby from New York on Monday, February 29, 2016I got this in a small in black (I'm 5'3", 116 lbs, 32D). It's fitted enough to show off my curves, but not so tight that I feel uncomfortable. The design is flattering too - slimming and classy. It's a little on the heavy side (I mean in terms of actual weight), but that might be a good thing for colder days and also to help keep its structure..
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gardener from Redmond, WA on Monday, January 25, 2016This sweater not only looks good (all black), but feels good too. I always like a neck that stands up and this one does. I usually order a an xs and this one runs true to size.
Reviewed by budding trailnut from MI on Saturday, January 16, 2016This sweater has an extremely nice fit, for the most part. I have a slim overly-hourglass figure and this was very comfortable through the body and on my neck. The fit seems typical of SW's most fitted styles and the layout of the design is extremely figure flattering. Smartwool really did a great job with that. I bought the black/gray colorway and it's very sophisticated looking. Were it not for the shrinky lower arms, it would have been suitable for work as well as play. I don't care for the tight fitting lower arms. It's not comfortable, especially if I want to layer under it, and looks odd. I didn't subtract a star since this aspect is clearly visible in the photos (not that I noticed before trying it, doh) and it's probably a positive attribute for some activities. I elected to send this back so I can't comment on performance, but the knit characteristics seemed comparable to other Smartwool garments I've gotten tons of use from, mostly running in ~20F weather solo or in colder temps as one of my layers.
Speaking of which, a sweater I have that's very similar to this served me well on a messy run in Chicago recently. It was ~35F, and lightly sleeting and the only coat I had would have been too hot. Decided to just wear my Smartwool sweater, knowing wool helps regulate body temp even when it gets wet. Figured I'd end up soaked anyway, from sweat, if I wore the coat. At the end of my 1.25 hr run, the poly and nylon layers I had on my legs were soaked through but my torso was still dry, even my shoulders. (The only other layer I was wearing was my sports bra.) The sweater was wet on the outside but the wet never penetrated to my skin. I was very comfortable temp-wise the whole time (thanks also to my ultralight Smartwool running socks, I'm sure). (This sweater would have been too warm for running at that temp if it hadn't been a wet and somewhat windy day.)
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dawn from Florida on Thursday, January 14, 2016This arrived just in time for a cold front. It fit perfect! I wasn't sure from the pic if it would just be casual, but it dressed up nicely. I wore it with a stretch skirt over tights with boots. It hit right at my hips and laid smoothly over my skirt. A very clean, classy, and warm addition to my wardrobe. It is also thick enough to be cozy and substantial, but not too bulky. I travel a lot, so I tested packing it, and it rolled up pretty small for a sweater. The arms were just the right length, covering my wrists well. It is slightly fitted, but not tight, so I wore a short sleeve calida shirt under it. I could've worn a long sleeve baselayer if needed and still looked sleek. I got the S. I'm 5'5" and 130lbs. I haven't washed it yet, but plan to do a delicate cold wash with woolite with other dark woolens and dry flat. I'll report back if anything goes awry.
