Always buy Smartwool

I bought my first Smartwool socks from Sierra Trading post several years ago. Wool is the way to go for all activities. I live in Florida and wear wool all the time. The key is to get several different thickness' for you lifestyle. If you try wool, you will not want cotton again. They breath, keep your foot from smelling - really! They are great for kayaking because wool keeps you warm when wet. They aren't hot in the summer like you would imagine, but keep the sweat from causing stink and rot! They take some careful washing, though. I wash in perm. press, but don't dry. Hang them instead. They last for years. My first ones are wearing out due to extended use after about 3-4 years. Again you must not put them in the dryer. Get them from Sierra Trading post, because they are at least double the price at local stores.
