Reviewed by WoolyWearer from San Luis Obispo, CA on Thursday, February 7, 2013For those of us familiar with the products, the 150g/m^2 microweight products Smartwool produces, it is probably bothersome to hear people say these are "too thin" because it's right there in the description.
I write this mainly to recommend the 250g/m^2 midweight base layer products over the smartwool line of microweight simply because the prices are usually the same for a whole other level of warmth.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by outdoors every day in VT from Vermont on Sunday, February 3, 2013Light and warm
Verified Buyer Reviewed by pknoerr from Grand Haven, MI on Friday, February 1, 2013I use this as a base layer for aerobic winter activities. Merino wicks well, dries fast, and keeps you warm even when damp. Skip the polypro and go with Merino for all your base layer needs.

Perfect for wintertime wear indoors and outdoors. (Not for skiing)
Verified Buyer Reviewed by jim the runnnner from omaha, ne on Wednesday, January 30, 2013These base layer NTS bottoms are my one indispensable piece of clothing. I don't know what I'd do without them in these cold Nebraska winters. Allows me to go outside comfortably. They're like a secret weapon against the cold.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Powder Pooch from Sydney, Australia on Thursday, January 24, 2013Used these in Park City. Temps were just below zero fahrenheit. They were perfect. The fabric is thin, light, and warm. Not too hot, Not too cold. We didn't wear them in cold conditions so can't vouch for them when it's really cold.
