  • “why does it give two percentages of wool/nylon etc?”

    • We received this with 2 different fabric contents. Some of the colors are 75% Merino Wool and some are 58% Merino Wool.

    • In general, items with more heather gray have the highest percentage of synthetic fibers, but I agree that STP needs to update its information here.

  • “I wear a size 6.5 in shoes. Since the small is supposed to fit 6.5 and the medium fits a 7, should I go to a M or stay with small? Do these shrink at all? want to make sure if my size is a small that I do not have shrinkage causing to not be able to wear these expensive socks.”

    • These sock are Merino Wool which does not shrink like regular wool. They also have a lot of stretch.

    • I have small and medium in Smartwool socks. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the two sizes. I have not dried them in the dryer because I assume they would shrink since they are wool.

    • You should not see or feel any difference. 2nds: Minor cosmetic blemishes or irregulars which do not affect the fit, performance, or longevity of the item. Label is usually clipped by the manufacturer. A small flaw means big savings.
