My BF wears it not as a baselayerVerified Buyer Reviewed by Glo in Burlington from Vermont on Monday, March 26, 2018This of course is soft and comfortable it looks less baselayer in person and on and my BF loves wearing it. It was on sale/clearance/coupon discount for under 30 bucks and definitely a great buy.
Runs a little large?Reviewed by Karis0166 from Portland OR on Saturday, March 17, 2018Got this (and another similar SmartWool top) for my husband and it is lovely, but the M is too large for him, so we returned. That's the only size left, so we are out of luck. He does take a S more and more these days; it seems like sizes are getting bigger all the time?
Smartwool NTS 150 weightVerified Buyer Reviewed by FormerActionGuy from Colorado on Wednesday, March 14, 2018I have several SmartWool and Icebreaker sweaters like this. The SmartWool brand wins out hands down.
A bit shortVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tusheen from Indiana on Thursday, November 2, 2017I am 6'2" 187lbs Slim with athletic build. I always have issues with arm and torso length with shirts. This shirt is a little short in the arms and pushing the short side in the torso for me. I have average arm and torso length for my height so its not a matter of me being a gorilla. Companys just dont make shirts long enough for the tall person. The quality of the shirt is good overall just the length.
FantasticVerified Buyer Reviewed by A Guy from Seattle from Seattle on Wednesday, November 1, 2017Wearing it right now as I write this, it has become one of my favorite everyday shirts. I like it too much maybe, as I won't be wearing it for it's intended purpose of hiking.Toasty warm, comfortable, pulling up or dropping the sleeves helps control my body temperature, and looks great
great shirtReviewed by Paul from Idaho on Saturday, October 21, 2017great shirt... instant favorite. agree with other reviews that merino is a very special fabric. good as it is, not sure i'd spend $80 on this - thanks STP for making it affordable. bought the taupe/brown, wore it a couple days - instantly loved it, got back on and ordered the green.
i'm not a clothing designer, but... smartwool ppl: maybe take that light, thin elastic that runs around the back of the neck and add it to the wrists...? just an idea.
Love THIS!!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by DannyA from Seattle, WA on Tuesday, September 12, 2017Merino wool is so unbelievable. A true example of nature's intelligence (thank you little sheep). Instead of wearing plastic (aka Polyester) I always choose merino wool. I have this shirt in black and now yellow and would have gotten the Burgundy but my size was out. It goes with everything and is just right when there is a little chill out. Highly recommend.
Well made tops, Love the Fine StripeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dancefaery from San Francisco Bay Area on Tuesday, August 29, 2017My husband lives in these types of tops all year round, adjusting thickness for time of year. These micro 150 tops are perfect for Fall/Winter?Early Spring and are true to SmartWools quality. The colors are Autumnal, and I love the fine stripe pattern to the fabric, which don'ts really show well in the online photos. Awesome buy for the price.
Great ProductVerified Buyer Reviewed by Frank from St Joseph, Michigan on Tuesday, July 19, 2016Very useful shirt. I've worn it on cooling weatherbas an undershirt for cycling. Kept me warm without overheating on uphills.
Nice feel, good cutReviewed by Greg from Hawaii on Saturday, June 18, 2016Got a 2XL and it fits fine (normally a 48" chest), its generously cut so one could go down a size if they wanted it skin tight. The shoulders are a good concept but mine jut out a little bit at the sleeve/body seam. Maybe its because I bought it a little bigger. Thin weave would be fine alone in mild climates. Can't go wrong with SmartWool quality. I'd buy it again.
