Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by E Roberts from Colorado on Tuesday, February 23, 2016Don't waste your time or money on these. In the pic they look like yoga pants with a little more daytime style.
But other reviewers are correct that the fabric is just downright weird - an odd silky fabric with an even odder sheen to it. I was willing to get over the fabric if they fit well. But they didn't. The puckered right where no girl wants her pants to pucker - on either side of the front crotch!
Sent these back as fast as they came. I'll go back to Athleta or Title Nine for pants like this.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Outdoor Gal from Wisconsin on Friday, January 1, 2016They legs are flared more than I'd like but I am keeping the pants because I like the fabric.
Reviewed by Liz the traveller from Massachusetts on Thursday, December 17, 2015I wear these pants constantly. They are extremely comfortable for traveling, hiking and just lounging. They fit well without being too tight, so you look well dressed, even in an airport. The exterior is a slightly shiny knit that is lined with wool knit. So you get the benefit of sleek pants that do not attract lint, cat hair, etc, while still maintaining comfort.
I am 5'7" and 145, and the medium fits perfectly. The only thing I am not totally happy about is the way the pants are cut in the front across the belly. They are a bit low, and while this would be great for cycling, it hits at an unflattering spot, and so I need to take that into account with the top I pick. If it wasn't for that, I would buy a second pair.
Reviewed by Joyeuse from The hot & steamy South on Tuesday, November 24, 2015It's always tough to buy pants online, but I really love SmartWool's products so these pants were tough to resist. Within 5 hours of their arrival, I had already placed another order for a 2nd pair. I LOVE the feel of the pants: they have a really great sheen to the fabric, it's thick enough to feel substantial without feeling too stiff and they are SO flattering on the body.
I can also confirm that they fit true to size: I am almost always a size Large in SmartWool's women's clothing & that's exactly the size I ordered. They are very comfortable (almost like pajamas) but they look sleek on the body without being tight. I have fairly short legs but found the inseam to be perfect one I put on a pair of shoes. They pair so well with a slim-fitting scuba style zipped up jacket, a long-sleeved knit shirt or a favorite ski-style sweater. Also, I'm a competitive cyclist with muscular legs, so I was happy to see that these pants were neither too snug nor too loose on the legs: and they were super flattering to the legs & booty, too!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mountain Dweller from North Carolina on Tuesday, November 3, 2015Well fitting, excellent quality but I don't like the shiny fabric. I was hoping to replace a very old pair by Smartwool of the same design that I got a ton of use out of (and still use for barn cleaning.)
these were very soft and comfy. The length on the medium was good (I'm usually a 31" inseam.)
So, because of the fabric, I returned them, otherwise they were great.

“I am thinking about these pants to wear to my sons football games. I want something warm, but I do not want ski pants. I will not be playing in the snow, :-). Are these pants rated for warmth? I will not be doing anything but sitting, so they might be great for when I am running but I want something soft, comfortable, and warm for sitting in the bleachers. Let me know.”
Sorry there is not a temperature rating. Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments or footwear due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you.
