I wear boots socks all day every day for work and work outside in all weather. I just got 3 pairs to wear under tall boots and wore them all day on my feet in 80+ degree weather. It may have nice wool in the foot area BUT truly none in the leg area. I have ordered smart wool socks before but am extremely disappointed in these specific model. In order to return the socks I would have to pay almost 7.00 dollars. I ordered 5 pairs of these thinking they would be the best for the cold Wisconsin winter. I had ordered 2 other different pairs. Rather than returning them it was just easier to order 3 more pairs of the good socks. They offer a great value....but Sierra Trading Post your return policy sucks as well as the price for shipping. You NEVER offer FREE shipping. So anyone wanting a better pair of great wool socks....you might want to order Item #7466A. These are a much better bargain and better for warmth. The alternative is Item #6997Y.
