Not their best versionReviewed by LeBeau from Sun Valley, ID on Wednesday, October 25, 2017I have had previous versions of this bra, which were great. However, they changed the straps...I didn't realize it when I bought it. I noticed when I put it on and thought 'How different could it be?' Well, let me tell you. The new strapping system slips on me. If I'm running or on a long hike, I have to tighten the straps back up mid exercise. Also, the straps dig into my trapezius muscles on both sides and gives me a serious neck/head ache if I wear it too long. I don't know why they would change the strapping system, except that this seems cheaper materials than the previous style.
Love the materialVerified Buyer Reviewed by Janet from San Francisco on Wednesday, July 19, 2017I've been a fan of SmartWool for 15 years now, first merino wool bra though. The design is beautiful. XS fits me 32C but S fits even better (as their size chart suggested). One small down side is when the weather is cold and there is no padding. Even though the material is thick and dense enough, you still see some when wearing thin summer shirts.
great material, too looseVerified Buyer Reviewed by EM0 from CA on Monday, June 19, 2017I got my usual XL but perhaps bc it's low-impact support, the bra feels too loose. I don't sweat much in the under-[...] region, but this area got really uncomfortable while I was wearing it-- not so with the medium impact smartwool double strappy sports bra. It's still very nice fabric, perhaps better for those who are a smaller size.
Wow, an awesome bra!Reviewed by Patty-gonia from MN on Friday, May 12, 2017Typically have to order a 2XL in a sports bra, but I went for the XL with this one. It has plenty of give and support. I adore the comfort. I'm 5'2", 180, and wear a size 14-16 womens.
Great and comfyVerified Buyer Reviewed by ehnaturgurl from Washington on Friday, May 5, 2017I liked these so much that I had to order 2 more. They do stretch out a bit over time so it was time for some new ones. I like that the racer back doesn't creep up the back of my neck which so many others do.
runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by happySTPshopper from Oregon on Thursday, April 13, 2017comfortable, nicely made, probably better for smaller breasted women.
Nice bra, stays putVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nancy from MI on Tuesday, April 11, 2017This is more than I would normally spend on a sports bra but figured it would be good quality coming from Smartwool. Pretty color, we'll made and true to size.
Always love SmartWoolVerified Buyer Reviewed by SnowLoverAlways from Boise, Idaho on Friday, March 24, 2017I always love SmartWool and it keeps me cool and dry. I did not give this a 5, because the straps have adjustable tabs, (which is nice) however the tabs fall right on your clavicle bone and rub uncomfortably. The design should have allowed for the tabs to fall on the back, where it is not such a sensitive area
amazing and comfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Meredith from Kansas on Thursday, March 23, 2017I bought one, and then I turned around and bought two more. These are great for being active including half-marathon training. The seamless design and moisture wicking properties make it hardly noticeable that it's even there. Why would I go back to my old sports bras?
Smart wool braVerified Buyer Reviewed by Kjr from Texas on Tuesday, March 14, 2017It seems very stretchy but it is very comfortable. Will use for hiking and biking but this particular one is not good for high impact. Will take a bit of getting use to as it is noticeably warm. It was a Best Buy in backpacker magazine so I am confident it will be great.
