I love mine because they provide moderate compression on my leg/calf but leave my toes uncrowded. I also have medical grade compression socks for all day work wear (I'm on my feet) and these are good, but not quite as tight. Good for cold walks, weekend wear, and even winter runs for me. They would be great for most folks when travelling and sitting all day. My hubby got some too but he feels they are uncomfortably tight on his legs, even though we both are thin people and we each ordered in our respective proper sizes. Why the difference of opinion? Well, it might be that I have more of a venous problem (light edema and varicose veins) while he has no varicos veins but does have some arterial blockage (calf cramps). Two good features are that the toe/foot is not under compression, and that the top band is not seem any tighter on the calf than the body of the sock.
