Smith has always made great glasses. This may be my 5th or 6th pair over the years. the optics are exceptional and the photochromic feature is really nice for varied light days. I can't attest to how rapidly they change - it's not something you notice. The color cast is a light warm brown, so you w... Read More

I am a professional school bus driver with a beautiful coastal rout. The afternoons can be a hard drive with the glare off the ocean. Smith Optics' solved my tired eyes problem with the "Hideout Photachromic" sunglasses. The polarized lenses cut the glare drastically and I am able to wear the glasses later into the evening, than other sunglasses, as the lenses adjust to the lower light.

I've used Smith Optics for over 20 years, this is the right lens for fishing Western waters and with this trend in frames toward larger side panels internal glare is reduced considerably while strengthening the weakest spot in the frames.

Great fit and quality although one hinge seems a little loose but I can live with it!

These glasses provide outstanding clarity in the field. They take a little getting used to at first because they don't block as much light as traditional grey lenses (my Maui Jim's), but they have a nice contour that keeps direct sunlight from coming in through the sides. These glasses are good for driving as well, especially if you have tinted windows on the side of your vehicle.
I would recommend these glasses for Trap and Skeet shooters because of the clarity.
    Haven't fished with them yet.

These are the best glasses I've ever owned! Can't beat the price.

Officially founded in 1965, Bob’s fledgling company eventually grew from a small line of Smith goggles into a full array of eyewear products. Today, Smith sunglasses and goggles are loaded with cutting-edge technology, from advanced Carbonic TLT optics to PivLock interchangeable lenses, and Smith helmets are helping protect skiers and riders on the slopes.
