Smith sunglasses earn their excellent reputation - these are easy to wear (lightweight and comfortable) and provide great clarity. I wear them for driving, bicycling, and on the water. I've worn many amber or brown lenses and these, in the brown lens, are on the lighter side, which is good, it means they don't dim my view too much on days that are sunny but less than glaringly bright. For all you rock and rollers, the brown lens does not hide your eyes so well, but the gray-green pretty much does. The shape is good - I did not want the typical teardrop aviator shape, but a squared-off aviator is hard to find. These give pretty good coverage for a squarer shape, without going to a wraparound style. Also, I have a pretty big face and these don't look too small on me.

About Smith Optics

When Bob Smith, founder of Smith Optics, started building homemade ski goggles in his kitchen back in the 1960s, he had no idea his hobby would evolve into one of the most respected eyewear brands in the world. Officially founded in 1965, Bob’s fledgling company eventually grew from a small line of Smith goggles into a full array of eyewear products. Today, Smith sunglasses and goggles are loaded with cutting-edge technology, from advanced Carbonic TLT optics to PivLock interchangeable lenses, and Smith helmets are helping protect skiers and riders on the slopes. From the hiking trail to the terrain park, Smith sunglasses, goggles and helmets are the choice of athletes who demand the absolute best.
