  • Sharp Looking Helmet
Reviewed by taagerickson from Twin Cities, MN on Thursday, May 10, 2018
Sharp looking helmet, very comfortable overall. Received yesterday and wore it on a 30 mile mt bike ride last night. It is comfortable, except for the very thin plastic helmet strap that connects to the rear tightening roller. The strap has padding velcro'd over it, but the pad continues to want to slide back from the strap, putting the thin plastic tightener in contact with your forehead. very uncomfortable and sharp. I stopped during my ride, re-adjusted the pad and it was good for a bunch of miles, but had slid back by the time I was done. Again, uncomfortable. May cut back the strip a bit or take some other padding material or soft tape and connect it to the strip to see if I can fix this design defect. Otherwise, very sharp helmet.

About Smith Optics

When Bob Smith, founder of Smith Optics, started building homemade ski goggles in his kitchen back in the 1960s, he had no idea his hobby would evolve into one of the most respected eyewear brands in the world. Officially founded in 1965, Bob’s fledgling company eventually grew from a small line of Smith goggles into a full array of eyewear products. Today, Smith sunglasses and goggles are loaded with cutting-edge technology, from advanced Carbonic TLT optics to PivLock interchangeable lenses, and Smith helmets are helping protect skiers and riders on the slopes. From the hiking trail to the terrain park, Smith sunglasses, goggles and helmets are the choice of athletes who demand the absolute best.
