    I’m a tall girl....so I usually buy “over-the-knee” socks to accomplish “over-the-calf” socks, but these are actually long enough to go over my knee. The material seems to be sturdy.

    Having worn these socks twice I notice more now how well made they are. The pattern is cut exactly the same on both socks so that the design that shows above each shoe is identical to the other. Most socks don't have that degree of attention to detail. Although they are thin, they feel strong, like they might last longer. The only drawback is that the very top is a bit constrictingly tight, but this wouldn't be the case if you have skinny legs.

    I'm not a fan of the karaoke monkey but I needed a pair of black knee highs and these fit the bill-- mostly cotton, lightweight. The threads on the inside can catch on toe nails. Otherwise they are fine. Designed in California but made in Korea. Wouldn't work for thick calves.
