The hard bottom tends to slip easily on icy surfaces; not the best boot for walking any distance.

Good even in extreme cold walking, but need warm socks. Supposed to be 6" tall but don't measure up to that. Not great in snow over a few inches deep. But warm, easy on and off

These slipper-mocs are great. Very comfortable, warm, and waterproof. If you are looking for snow boots for snow levels above 6 inches, this is not a good choice. But for light to moderate snow, running around town or the house, these are excellent basic warm shoes for winter.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
