I bought these for my husband to replace a similiar pair of 18 year old Sorels that served him so well and he loves them. He wears an 9 shoe so I got a 9.5 because he wears heavy wool socks most of the time and the fit is great. He is pleased with the weight and the quality and will use them for 3 o... Read More

Bought these for my son. Great Price, I had to. These are not ultra high boots but a great boot for everyday. Should be plenty sufficient for our Minnesota winter for every day. Not the kind of boot I'd recommend for 1+ foot snowfalls but even then they'd probably work with gators. Winter will be the true test-up here, Sorels never let us down in the past. Not too big and bulky to drive. I'd look for something more substantial for Snowmobiling or Icefishing but these work for most daily living conditions. Kinda jealous of him-may have to order a pair for me as well :0

Very comfortable. If you like heavy socks you may want a half size larger. For my feet these are good in width but only just long enough (toes almost touch, as usual for me). With use, when the lining has been beaten down a little, they should have plenty of room for my longer but narrower feet. I've not yet worn them in cold weather, but Sorrels have the reputation for warmth, so I'm expecting good performance.

So far I have only tried on these boots - I bought them in preparation for winter. They're Sorels so I expect them to be great.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
