These boots are light weight and feel great. Runs true to size. No a lot of insulation but that's OK for me.

    • I used them last winter in snow and slush conditions and didn't notice any leaking.

    • I love these boots but you will get water through the vents.

    • I am pretty sure that they would leak if the boot was submerged for more than a couple of seconds. The wool lining would wick away some of the moisture, but I would not recommend these boots for any water usage that you would not take a pair of leather tennis shoes in. Also, the tongue is not gusseted, so any amount of water above the souls would most likely make its way into the boot one way or another.

      I hope this helps.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
