Supple, but not really waterproof

These boots are cut a bit wide, which fit my E width perfectly. But they are not truly waterproof. Waterproofness is achieved by a rubber type of paint applied to the outside of a sewn in fabric sock liner. This paint is applied to the bottom of this liner and up the sides about 1.5"+ from the footbed. The tongue is not gusseted. Water 2"+ deep will intrude. But fantastically comfortable, no break in and dressy looking for a boot.
