I am so loving these boots. The first pair I got had a problem with some defective stitching in the tongue of one of the boots (the fabric was getting caught in the zipper) but they were so comfortable that i ordered a replacement pair and i am delighted that i did so. They fit great and i hope the ... Read More

I am always nervous about purchasing footwear through the mail and hesitated particularly with this product, since multiple reviewers reported a variety of sizing-related problems. After I found Sierra Trading's description of their own procedures to ensure a perfect fit, I decided to take a chance and I couldn't be happier. These boots are exactly the look I wanted, they're super warm, and they fit me - a lifelong 7.5 - like a glove. Right now - when they're brand new - I can feel the lining touching my foot all around - even in the toe area. I know that will compress a bit with wear, though, so I'm not concerned that the actual foot room is insufficient for a standard 7.5. A terrific product at a great price, but don't try to get by with these if you're normally an 8 who can sometimes fit into a 7.5.

Very good in snow and slush. I found the fit a little snug, but you wouldn't need thick socks as the interior is very warm. I would recommend.

These boots are warm, stylish and comfortable. I ordered the gray in a size 8, though I normally wear a size 7 or 7 1/2 in other brands. I ended up printing the shoe size guide from the Sorel website to determine the correct size to order. I did have to return the first pair I purchased, due to incorrect sizing, but returns were a cinch. The zipper does occasionally fall down, but the ankles are snug enough that the shoe doesn't slip off. The form-fitting ankles also mean that pants slide over the boots nicely, with the exception of skinny jeans, which look cute tucked into the boot. Our driveway and sidewalk can be treacherously slippery in the ice and snow, but these boots have excellent tread. While others are slip-sliding around, I'm steady on my feet. I couldn't be happier with these boots.

This winter in VT has been exceptionally cold and I'm delighted to finally have warm boots that I love. I wear 6.5 and bought 6.5. The fit is very snug but my toes do not bump. I wear them with "Sock it to me" knee socks or Wright Sock medium weight hiking socks. I definitely could not wear heavier socks with this size but there is no need, the boots are quite warm. Would have returned for a half size up but this product is now out of stock in the Charcoal color which I really love. Taking off one star for troublesome left boot zipper. Upon receiving the boots it took me 15 min to get the left boot zipper down. I then zipped it on to my foot and had the same trouble again with my foot inside. After a bit of messing around with it, the zipper is now behaving as long as I am careful. Again, would have returned for a different pair but out of stock. I like that these are tight to my ankle so my straight leg jeans can fit over them. I also like that the rubber part on the bottom is gray like the rest of the boot whereas many brands put a black bottom on a gray boot. Also notable, this is a stiff/supportive boot around your ankle...the feeling is a bit like wearing ice skates.

I wore these boots on a 15 below day in Wyoming and my feet were perfectly warm. On warmer, slushier days they kept my feet dry. I wore them on a two full days of airline travel and they were comfortable. My only complaint is what others have said: one zipper won't stay up. That doesn't allow the boots to fall off or even become very loose, so it is just a minor problem - one that I'm willing to deal with for boots at this price.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
