These boots are true to size. They are somewhat narrow, so for wide feet maybe not the best boot. I live in a town with a lot of snow. We went sledding in them last week- lots of mud and snow my feet stayed warm and dry. You do need to take to insole out every night to dry or they will still be wet ... Read More

I have been searching for winter boots for the past 2 months, and when I came across these Sorels I knew I was in lucky. I have them in Boysenberry (cute dark purple upper, tan leather and fur with an orange band) - super cute. Most other pairs of Sorels' are clunky and tough to walk in but these are "foot sized" and easy to maneuver, pull on and off, etc. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they are not hardcore warm, as in they keep your feet dry (100% waterproof) but are not going to keep your feet toasty sub freezing.. which is rarely a problem except for this week. For the price, (I paid about $80) the quality cannot be beat - you will not be disappointed!

I bought these boots for my wife and she has loved using them this cold winter in Michigan. They fit true to size and look wonderful. She says that they are super warm and are comfortable to wear. The only negative thing she had to say about these boots is that they don't have super great traction on ice. They are great for the snow, but not so great on the ice.

    Overall, a great value!

I love these boots because they are so fashionable and comfortable but not as warm in the toe area as I was hoping for in our 0 degree Minnesota winters. I guess I will have to buy some smart-wool socks to keep my toes warm... the leg area does stay very warm though.

In addition... I am normally a 6.5 but purchased a 7 as the 6.5's were sold out. The boots are definitely a half size too big when wearing regular socks. So, they do run true to size.

Overall... l love these boots, but I was hoping that my toes would stay warm in them.

I don't know how, but I seem to have gotten TWO defective pairs of Sorels. These were great the first few times I wore them--very warm and waterproof. They're a true pac boot in that your foot is elevated from the ground a bit so your feet can stay warm. However, they leak water in the toes like crazy. Has Sorel's quality taken a nosedive in recent years or something? I think the decorative stitching lets water in and it can seep through the lining. Really disappointed with the quality. I can't imagine paying full price for these.

Love these boots. So fashionable and comfortable. Wearing them around the city and to/from yoga class is great. But I wore them snow shoeing over the weekend in 3degree weather and my toes froze. I was wearing 2 pairs of smartwool socks but the foot area of the shoes are just not insulated. The leg area stays very warm. Overall LOVE these boots, but was hoping my toes would stay a little warmer.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
