Pros: doubles as a small tarp
Cons: heavy ropes and carrying case, overall small, can't adjust tension separately for center to edges
Overall would get 4 or 5 stars after I put in new ropes and got weight down to <13 oz.

I lost my Byers of Maine EZ traveler hammock last year, and this is my 2nd attempt to replace it. The first one was a used Byers of Maine EZ traveler that had an outdated tie method with too many, tangled up strings. My main uses are: backyard lounging, backpacking chair/lounger, reading, etc...

This hammock is smaller than the other single hammocks I've owned, but sufficient. The ropes are HEAVY, and come with hooks that are HEAVIER. I will be replacing them with mule tape or similar lightweight rope. The stuff sack is also bogged down with straps for compressing (unnecessary), and a large plastic clip. If you remove those, and replace the ropes/hooks, you could get the hammock down to a comparable weight to the EZ traveler.

Best advantage: I will use the loops on this hammock to tie it up as a rain cover for my backpack/gear while camping, however, tarp size is a few inches smaller than hammock size since loops aren't at the outermost edges.
