Love this suit! The material is textured and more forgiving than most polyester suits. Must wear polyester these days for chlorine resistance if you do a lot of lap swimming.

The fit of this style by Speedo is a size larger than my typical Speedo sizing (36). I'm 5'6, 135 lb and a 36 felt loose in water when I first starting wearing it.
This suit did not last at all. After just 2 months (I alternate between 2 suits and swim 4 times a week) the elasticity of the mesh fabric completely disintegrated. It creates horrible drag when swimming. Very disappointed with my purchase. While my other Speedo quantum splice has lasted 6 months and counting.

I really wanted this suit to fit! But alas, it did not. The name of the style ("extreme back") isn't just a name: The back is cut very low -- too low for me. I ordered the last black/blue one (really nice color combination), size 34, and it did not fully cover my behind. I'm 5'7", 125#.

I use swim suits when I travel to warm climates and in indoor pools at home. I ordered a size 36, and found it rather tight, and just at the limit of fit for me. I am a person who wears a size 2 or 4 pants and a size small top, so I was surprised at the smallness of the size 36. I am keeping it, hoping that when I swim, it becomes looser! The design and reversibility of this garment is nice. The straps feel secure. I wore my last Speedo bathing suit for 6 years and expect the same durability from this one!

I train for triathlons in a lake and do a lot of cross training. This suit fits great under cycling/tri shorts and I can head for a swim right after cycling. No chaffing thick seams to bother me.

About Speedo

A household name in most countries, Speedo has grown from modest roots into the world’s preeminent name in performance swimwear. Founded by Scottish immigrant Alexander MacRae in 1914 as a knitting mill, the Speedo line of swimwear captured its first trophy in a competition held in 1928. Since then, Speedos have won more swimming events than any other brand, worn by 52 out of 54 competing countries in the Montreal Olympics. Not just for athletes, form-hugging suits in vibrant colors and eye-catching patterns are seen poolside and at beaches around the world. Fabric innovations make their suits resistant to chlorine and mildew while giving them excellent recovery properties.
