Silky Merino

I had never heard of TENCEL fabric made from wood pulp. This earth friendly shirt feels like a blend of silk and merino. So far I love my shirts! I'm 5'8" and about 150 lbs. The large fits perfect.

  • Great fit!

The fit is similar to other Ice Breaker shirts for women. If you like it tight order your normal size, if you want a little give order a size up. The color matches what is shown in the picture, but you can't see that it is slightly heathered. The tencel material is a shiny white color and the wool is the pinkish color. Very pretty!
  • Runs small, thin, not sure I like the fabric

I'm buying more wool shirts to replace my normal active wear. I should have read the specs on this one, it's only 46% wool. It feels nice and is pretty, but I'm afraid it will end up feeling like the polyester shirts that I'm replacing because I don't think they're very breathable and don't care for how they feel when I'm sweaty. I would maybe give it a try, but it's quite thin and tight anyway, so I'm going to return it. I bought a few other Icebreaker t-shirts in XS and they fit fine (5' 4" 120lbs).
  • A summer Merino wool blend: fabulous

I love this lightweight, silky smooth, but elegant Merino wool blend. True to its product info, it is cooler than pure merino wool. Fine in Houston so far this spring (high 80s). I have this shirt in every color, the sleeveless one too. It’s replacing my T-shirt collection, for the most part, for summer wear (except not for cooking, I protect these shirts from messy situations).

  • Lightweight comfy fabric

Loved the feel of this shirt. It's lightweight and stretchy. However, I sent it back for a large because the shoulders are narrow. I am 5'7'' 135 lb and usually wear a medium. Hope the large fits because it's a quality shirt.
