I love theseVerified Buyer Reviewed by Quality seeker from Maryland on Monday, June 4, 2018Look the pockets are sewn and you can easily opened the threads. These are a bit slim, but not overly so. The pants have a great feel to them. I like em.
I wish they had more colors cause I would buy them.
Good Fit, butVerified Buyer Reviewed by PCheb from Wash St on Thursday, May 3, 2018Back pockets were seen shut, so I returned them. If they had been cheaper, I would have just slit them open.
Zip-offsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Uncle Fishead from Anacortes,WA on Monday, April 30, 2018Decent zip-offs that had back pockets sewed shut as noted in reviews before ordering. Very easy to remove stitching with no negative impacts. These run a little tighter than preferred but also stretch to allow for ease of movement.
not a reviewReviewed by return shipping is BS from Tennessee on Wednesday, April 25, 2018i do not know why manufactures sew the pockets closed. but, i have gotten dress pants and sport coats from suit shops before that were also sewn together. sometimes the pants. sometimes the jackets. just depends on the brands. seems to be a higher end thing. the jackets and slacks were a bit on the expensive end. non the less. cut the threads. nothing worth complaining about.
The exposed zippers on the legs are pretty unforgivable.Reviewed by SJS from NYC on Tuesday, April 17, 2018How on earth could the manufacturer have thought it was OK to leave the leg zippers exposed, so they’d rub against one’s legs? All they’d’ve needed to do is sew a strip of fabric on to guard your skin. I guess they were too cheap to bother. Anyway, I returned these pants, which I had bought for my fiancé, as a result. He said the zipper issue made them really uncomfortable.
(Also, FYI, the pants seem to run slightly big, and they have a large creepy-looking black widow spider logo on the leg, which he also wasn’t into.)
Strange but great!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Canyonseeker from SW Colorado on Wednesday, April 11, 2018These are great for hiking and canyoneering, the four-way stretch is super and water drains right off.
Now for the weird......I've never seen back pockets put in pants and then sew them shut so you can't use them. haha!
I felt the zipper in the legs at first but not for long, not uncomfortable .
Bottom line, great pants, I opened the pockets!
One major flawReviewed by Max from DC on Wednesday, April 4, 2018These pants look good and are priced right. The material has a good thickness, though a little more breathability would be appreciated.
None of that matters, though, because one major flaw makes these unwearable. On both legs, the zipper for the zip-off section scratches painfully against your skin. It's worse when you're hiking uphill, but it's more or less constant. There is no extra lip of material on the inside to keep this from happening - the zipper comes into direct contact with the skin. So, these are painful to wear. I wouldn't call this a complaint. I'd call it a flaw that renders these defective. I've worn them and washed them but I'm going to request a refund because they are completely worthless. I'm very surprised the other reviewers haven't noted this.
Hiking pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mountain man from Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 28, 2018Cons
1. No cargo pockets
2. Back pockets shut closed. If opened, not much of protection for keeping stuff from falling off
3. Leg zippers raw and rub against legs
1. Great material very stretchy
2. Great for short day hikes
3. I’ve other owned Spider ?? clothing before. Very durable
Bottom line: great quality but not practical at least for me!!
Good material, great colorVerified Buyer Reviewed by sportygirl from california on Wednesday, March 28, 2018I like the material and the slender cut which is maintained with the lack of exterior pockets. There was some bulging at the crouch, but not enough to deter me from keeping the pants. I also love the color.
GREAT pantsReviewed by Colton from Missouri on Wednesday, February 28, 2018**ATTENTION** I left a review earlier about these pants but could not see a way to edit. I have taken these on a few trips and love them. Fit amazing, as you can see in my other review, they are comfortable, and look good! When you receive these pants the pockets will be sown shut in the back, just take a pocket knife and cut the thread open. I was confused at first and after seeing the 1 star review about the back pockets, do not let that ruin these pants for you!
