Reviewed by Dave C from Occidental, CA on Tuesday, November 5, 2013Sipping from this cup took some getting used to but it's a nice, well made mug with the Stanley quality you've come to expect.
Reviewed by dbert from Riverside, CA on Sunday, June 23, 2013I like the Stanley Travel Mug, but the first two times I used it, I found out that the rounded bottom and top-heavy design can fall over and spill. You can twist to close the 360 degree drink valve but it isn't spill or leak-proof. The 360 degree drink valve is nice, and it does keep my coffee hot, so it is ok. If you want spill-proof, try to find another one with a drink button. Otherwise, this product is a good bargain.
Reviewed by New England Grannie from Massachusetts on Sunday, June 23, 2013I have at least three travel mugs that I don't use for one reason or another. Wanted a new travel mug so that we could take our
coffee down to the beach in the new town that we now live in. I already have a Stanley thermos and saw these Stanley mugs
on sale. I bought two of them and they are perfect. Was a little skeptical of the skull and crossbones on the front of the mug
but you can hardly notice them at all.
Reviewed by Paul from Palo Alto on Friday, June 21, 2013Typical Stanley high quality, but I didn't read the description. It has plastic interior, so is not vacuum insulated. Coffee does not stay hot for more than a few minutes. I should have read the feedback more carefully. Was very inexpensive, otherwise I would return it.

“Can you turn the lid so that the handle can be either right/or/left handed use? Also, ancient trick oftravel mugs....use a bendy straw. You won't block your view when looking over the mug, and you only get a small amount of "hot" liquid in your mouth. (saves on the burnt tongue/lips) Lisa W, CA”
Yes you can turn the lid so that the handle can be either right/or/left handed
“I'm buying 2 of these for my son-in-law for use mainly when he's driving to work. He wears dress clothes daily. It's important that the product not leak. Is it truely leak proof if used properly?||Also, is the top screw-on or gasket sealed? Thank you.”
If the Stanley Insulated Travel Mug is not overfilled and the top is screwed on securely it should be a very reliable mug for your son in law
I don't know if you could call the lid entirely leakproof. I don't know if I had a mug full of coffee that I would want to lay it sideways on my car seat. However, it does seal pretty tight.||The has two parts, the top plug twists and you loosen or tight like a wing nut. The secondary lid can be removed to assist with cleaning and wash up. ||The mug is really well made. I recommend it.
