I'm and experienced paddler and racer and this is the 6th board I've owned. I bought it as a spare/guest board and for the occasional airplane trip.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the board and it's handling on the water, it's very stable, and downwinds great. which makes me think that it probably surfs pretty well, though i haven't had a chance to try that out yet.

There are a couple knocks that experienced paddlers would notice, it doesn't track very straight, and the fins aren't changeable. I would prefer a larger center fin than the three smaller ones.

The leash is a joke, I wouldn't trust my guests safety with the leash that is provided and will attach a better leash. Having a leash is an important safety measure and I see too many people out without using one. The board an get away from you quick and it's important from a safety perspective to be able to get it back quick. It doesn't replace a PFD, but it's just one more thing you can do to stay safer on the water.

This board is constructed of high quality materials.i sent it because I was sent the smaller board by mistake.
I would have sent it back anyway because the fins do not detatch....& they were slightly bent.

Awesome paddleboard for a very good price. 10x the quality of other brands that sell for what Sierra trading post is selling. I have only used in flat water but preforms well with both me (180lb) and my dog (75lb). Decent speed, maneuverable and very stable. Comes with a top notch bag and pump.
