I love this pan and use it all the time. We bought this and 3 other Staub pans because of the great discounted price. This is the one I use most often.

Bottom interior of pan is unevenly finished, and one side seems not completely covered with enamel. Pan is lovely mustard yellow - on the bottom, where you do not see it unless it is hanging on the wall. Otherwise the yellow fades to a tan out toward the edges and handle is tan. Very heavy pan, not possible for me to tip it to pour our contents unless using both hands to hold it, then need a third to use spatula to get all the food out. Pan is not flat on the inside bottom, so oil runs to outside edges, out from under the food I am sautéing. Hate to be so negative.

I was extremely disappointed with this pan as I am familiar wth Staub as a quality line and have several of their casseroles. This pan, however, did not heat evenly. Scrambeled eggs, bacon, omelets...well done in the center..raw on the outside on a gas burner. My other pans (All Clad and Marviel Copper) on the same stove do not have this problem. I returned it and would highly not recommend it, especially for the price, even as reduced!

  • “Does this inner surface require non-metal utensil use on it or can you use regular metal spoons, etc? Thanks -

    • It is recommended to use plastic, wood, or nylon utensils only; metal utensils may damage the enamel.

About Staub

Recommended by professional chefs and home cooks, family-owned Staub cookware produces exceptionally durable Staub dutch ovens, and cast iron pots and pans. Consumers like the performance and durability of Staub cast iron pots and dutch ovens, many of which feature self-basting spikes to evenly diffuse heat throughout the cooking cycle. The smooth enamel bottoms of Staub dutch ovens and grill pans can be safely used in the oven, and on glass, electric and reduction stove tops, plus Staub cookware is so attractively designed, it can be transferred directly from the oven to the table.
