• If your "normal size" is a wide, one might say yes, if not, then how about a wide width in the size that your foot mechanics flex?
Like on a Brannock device, put both pair of socks on and put your foot in the device and heal all the way back and stand on it, then slide the pointer to your flex point (base of big toe knuckle), check the other side slider for width that would give you a very good indication, do both feet and go from there.
Also, have you tried the "expedition" heavy weight Merino wool socks?, might help.

  • I wear a thin liner sock and a thick outer sock comfortably with my normal size 12.

  • I would recommend one half size larger if you are doubling up heavy hiking socks.

  • According to our fit team this item is running true to size. If you double sock with thick socks you may want to go up a half size.
